The girls soccer team defeated Kent Roosevelt 5-3 Saturday night. Scoring for the Rockets were Emma Flick with 3 goals and Kaylee Klein with 2. Assisting on those goals were Kenzie Mobley, Kaylee Christine, and Emma Flick. Allison Laudato had a good game in goal making several really good saves. The girls team is now 3-1-1 and 1-0 in the PTC. Their next game is Tuesday at Coventry in their next PTC showdown.
The girls soccer team defeated Aurora 3-2 last night. The Rockets got behind early, but a goal by Emma Flick, that was assisted by Ella Deevers, tied the game and another by Kaylee Christine gave the Rockets the lead at halftime. Aurora tied the game up in the second half, but Emma Flick put in the game winner with 11 minutes to go to get the win. The defense, lead by Erika Richards, had a great game and Heidi Timmons had 9 saves in goal to secure the win. The Rockets are back on the pitch Saturday night versus Kent Roosevelt with JV at 5pm and Varsity at 7pm.
More than 100 people turned out at CSU’s Krenzler Field to watch boys soccer coach Paul Krzeminski receive the COTY (Coach of the Year) award. Congratulations Coach Paul!
The OHSAA mandatorty Meeting for Parents and Student-Athletes will be held on Thursday, August 15th from 6:00 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. in the high school auditorium. This meeting is for all high school and middle school parents and student-athletes. Attendance is required and parents must sign-in as proof of attendance.
