Tom Fesemyer

Arriving at Streetsboro High School in 1993, Tom Fesemyer initially served as an Industrial Arts teacher and coach. Coming from a family of educators, Coach “Fes” was eager to assist in any capacity, coaching football for 8 years, then as faculty manager, he did the work necessary to host all SHS home football games for many years. Beginning as Head Girls Track Coach in 1993, but eager to provide a consistent quality of experience to both teams, Tom combined the roles of Head Girls and Boys Coach in 2004 and the programs experienced an extended run of accomplishments and success. From 2004 until his retirement in 2018, thirty-two athletes qualified for the state tournament, with nineteen individuals and five relay teams placing at the state meet, and one three time 100M State Champion, Dakari Carter.

Most of this success was achieved despite the lack of a home track facility. Coach Fes attributes this success to the determination, diligence and character of the talented young men & women with which he had the honor to coach.
