
Student Athlete-Jim Boardwine (1992)
1992 Streetsboro High School graduate Jim Boardwine was the first student-athlete in school history to earn All-State honors three times. He finished second in the state in Division II in 1990, sixth in the state in Division III in 1991, and won an OHSAA Division III State Wrestling Championship in 1992. He served as a coach for the Rockets from 1996-2002, during which time the team won the State Wrestling Title and qualified over 20 individuals for the state tournament. Jim has been teaching in Streetsboro since 1996. In 2007 he was named Streetsboro High School and District Teacher of the Year.
